Echinacea is a herbaceous perennial that thrives in prairie environments. Easy to grow, Echinacea does well in pots or directly planted into garden soil. Strong and potent medicinal plant variety, and well-suited to a wide variety of growing conditions coast to coast.
Echinacea purpurea is used in Plant Medicine as a powerful immune support and potent anti-inflammatory. For skin health, Echinacea preserves collagen from degradation and promotes new collagen growth in skin, which is why we love using it in Huna Revitalize Age-Grace Face Serum. The leaves, flowers and roots of the plant are used medicinally. Flowers are 3-4 feet tall, stunning showy bright pink hardy blossoms that attract all sorts of pollinators.
Planting Directions: Plant prefers full sun and rich, moist soil. Sow the seeds shallowly in soil, in the early to mid-spring. Keep soil moist. Once the seedlings come up, control weeds, then thin to 12 inches apart after the second set of leaves has formed. Certified Organically Grown.
Plant Family: Aster (Asteracea).
